The Black Estate Foundation for Success
We are a faith-guided nonprofit committed to restoring stability, dignity, and opportunity for individuals and families impacted by incarceration, addiction, and systemic barriers to economic mobility. Our mission focuses on expanding culturally responsive transitional and permanent housing, sober living support, workforce development, life-skills education, and mentorship for justice-impacted and underserved communities.
Through hands-on training and pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship partnership programs, participants build marketable skills while actively rehabilitating run-down and abandoned residential properties in opportunity zones across the Portland area. This work creates jobs, expands transitional and permanent housing, reduces homelessness, and beautifies neighborhoods—while preparing program participants for sustainable careers in construction, property maintenance, and real estate development.
